Eligibility is self-declared. Anyone who is currently within 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines is eligible. Phones are answered 9:00 am through 4:30 pm Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri and 9:00 am-6:30 pm Thursday. Order online or call 507-345-7508 to schedule a pick-up time

Pick-up times are scheduled 11 am-4:30 pm Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri and 10:30 am-6:30 pm Thursday.

Due to the high number of households served each day, clients must wait outside for the food to be brought out to them.

Those without a phone can schedule their pickup in person.

Non-standard Requests

Because ECHO is a client-choice food shelf, you will be able to choose the items that you would prefer. Anything beyond the standard food order including baby items, snacks, juice, laundry detergent, dish soap, baking supplies, soy milk, powdered milk, personal care items, etc. may or may not be available.

  • Set up an appointment by phone, 507-345-7508. Phones are answered on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm.
  • Set up an appointment in person during regular hours. You will receive the next available appointment time.

Additional Programs

ECHO Delivers Outreach Program

ECHO recognizes that there is a segment of the population who needs extra food for their diet but cannot access the food shelf during regular operating hours because they lack transportation. For residents in this situation, ECHO will start offering delivery of food supplies to those individuals who ask for the service.

Call our client line at 507-345-7508 if you need help. This is NOT same day delivery. There is an enrollment process. It may take up to a month to verify eligibility. Once a client is on the program, deliveries will be scheduled when we have drivers available.

ECHO Extras

Clients receive food items that we have in abundance. This program may be used 1 time per week. ECHO Extras in included in all Regular/Monthly food orders.

Summer Feeding Program

The Summer Feeding Program provides supplemental food for children during the summer months when school lunches are not available. Families receive food 1 time per week.

Thanksgiving Basket Distribution

ECHO offers Thanksgiving Baskets which contain a turkey or ham and other food items to complete a Thanksgiving meal. This service is offered the week before Thanksgiving.
